Well a least the Maine mice have fashion sense, make the nest smell nice .

But I don’t think the rav4 I’m working on owners are to happy I might be totaling their car from mice.
All interior wiring. Complete heater box. They ate the doors inside the box.
Lots of labor..
$8,5000 in parts.. so far...

 

Expensive little vermits

 

They do some nasty work. One of our camp hosts had their Mercedes Sprinter Class C motorhome totalled from mouse damage.

 

Holy crap, destructive little bastards. You would think the owner would notice something before it got that bad.

 

UPS just delivered this Ford 9" center section with a Billet aluminum spool , 3.89 pro series gears , billet aluminum pinion support and billet yoke

Had a interesting visit today to my local and the first visit there in almost a year , total eye opening experience since this Covid crap started . The one thing that caught my attention was hearing two nurses talking while I was being screened

Overheard one of them saying their pre screening process will end in mid October and the VA resuming normal operations

Guy on the Polaris forum had his brand new Northstar eaten overnight in Western Wa. State by a pair of pack rats.

Turns out that for awhile now they have been using soy based wire insulation to be more environmentally friendly. Which basically turns it into a food buffet for mice. Honda and Toyota have the most soy based insulation vehicles, as in all of them. Apparently Polaris is right up there too.

You can fill a 5 gallon bucket overnight with mice using peanut butter on a tin can or similar such spinning device.



Once the frost hits and drives them to look for a warmer place I put one in my garage. Which is heated.

 

Their cure was dryer sheets.
Didn’t do shit.
Once they are in, they are in...

 

Had them in Christie's Rav last year they chewed through the cabin air filter. I set traps in the car and cought 3 no more mice.
