anyone been watching Shark week ???? , last night they had Great Hammerhead sharks in Florida . They had one Great Hammerhead called " Big Moe" and is over 18' in length and weighing 2k lbs

 

Protestor/crowd control!!! I want one!

Same here. I complain when I get a bad day like yesterday but it gets made up for like today, sleep in until 10 then work from home.

 

Had one of those close call days. Hooked onto a car trailer at work, did the walk around, everything looked normal. Fast forward 10 miles, stop to talk to my sons who were out fishing, glance at the mirror as I'm pulling up, notice the left front tire on the trailer make a wierd wobble. Back up, it wobbles. Get out to look at it, dust cover is gone, axle laying in the bottom of the hub. Put a 4x4 block behind the left rear, back up on it and the front almost falls off. Grab the tire/wheel/hub assembly, throw it on the trailer and limp it back to town on 3 wheels. Axle is done. Threads are tore up, all smooth surfaces are chewed up.

 

That's exactly what happened to my friends trailer last year and what caused it was a burned up wheel bearing

 

This one came apart. No bearings, castle nut, cotter pin or washer to inspect so no telling. Had plenty of grease, none of the smooth surfaces were burnt, just chewed. Not worried about it. Shit happens. Just glad it happened where it did and not on the streets where it may have fully came off and hit something/someone. It's not a trailer that I've used before so I don't know the service history. Having the remaining axle serviced and the new axle and assembly inspected when it's installed.

 

Preeveing folks, finally some good news for my neighbors house. After the storm on Monday that crushed his house, he is getting some positive responses. Contractor I know of and recommend is on the job. They talked at 8:00am, crew was on site at noon. Two large construction trailers, one for trash, one for the good stuff. Contractor got his electrician out and got the ball rolling getting the house energized. Hopefully by Saturday, or Monday. The end wall is where it has to mount, they got some work to do.

 

What a mess....

 

Good thing the 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible 4 speed wasn't in there...

 

Both vehicles only had minor damage, both drivable. The tree guys got both out yesterday, and all the downed tree gone.
