    Maybe I'm a genius, maybe it's just because I've been camping since I was a toddler and learned a thing or two over the years, but is it really that complicated?
    Dude walks up with a pot. Pumps the handle once. Once. Walks away. I can hear him telling his wife that it's broken.
    I go over with my fire bucket. Took about 12 pumps to draw the water up. I left a rock on the top that fit perfect to hold the little diverter knob.
    Next dude comes up and pumps and pumps. Can't figure out the diverter. Had to go get his buddy to join him. One to pump, one to hold the knob up. I wandered back by and noticed the little rock I left was gone. WTH! You see a rock on a water pump, you leave it. It has a purpose!

    90% of FS camps here have these, easier to deal with come winter. If you've ever camped in MT you had to have used one. How are folks so clueless?
