You always want someone to try and kick my ass. What’s up with that? Does having ketchup with my haddock and scallops really bother you that much?

I'm in Encinitas, just about 1.5 miles east of Moonlight beach and nearly an exact mile from the Encinitas Library, just east of the freeway. We have good friends in Santee but I don't know that I could live there or Escondido or even Del Sur which is where some of the larger new homes have been built since you left. When I first moved down here in 2000 things were booming and they haven't stopped, the word unsustainable comes to mind.

I've heard about San Diego growing like crazy over the last ten or so years . When I left there in 1998 the 52 fwy was only accessed from Mission gorge road , Now it connects to hwy 67 . Santee was a a nice area back then and I was only 45 minutes from Anza Borrego , my favorite place to go off roading

So, today I booked a flight. That seems like such a risky irresponsible thing to do but I did it. Let's hope I can avoid picking up anything in the airports/on the plane.

Flying to Dallas tomorrow to meet up with the bro in law and drive back to his place outside of Seattle in an F450 diesel he is purchasing in New Orleans with backup plan to pick one up in Dallas if the one in New Orleans isn't to his liking. Long story short, he has a semi truck but his girlfriend is Canadian and that poses trouble with her getting a CDL. Meanwhile business is booming and he really needs her as a legal driver to scale up, they train and transport horses, hence the F450.

Probably a direct bee line on freeways but if anyone has any pointers as far as food and short stops or stuff we really should see, there are a few variations of the route through Colorado/Utah.

I've never driven this stretch before, only one other cross country trip from NY to SF mostly on 80. Hoping for some cool views at least. Figure this is the right crowd to ask?

I need to sit in the seat and work. Why do I even bother.

    E85F70CB-2616-4706-A462-CB4FF68BEFF7.jpg

I ought to just sit in it and then spread it on every seat that’s in this car

LawnJarts - I used to love to play that game. We didn’t have one, “too dangerous”, for mom. Neighbors did. What started out as a friendly game inevitably turned into tossing large metal darts at each other.
