    Morning all

I would say it is the beginning of the end but that can be said as soon as we are born. She is a strong woman so we don't know what will happen next.

Funny how life works, my Dads side of the family, most of the men have all lived into their 90s and 100s

    He died at 85

Moms side of the family, her parents died at 56 and 65, no one else gets past their 80s.

    And now she is 95.

Peace, love, hope, and stubborn will can carry a person pretty far. My grandfather went 6 years with a 6 month diagnosis only because he didn't feel he was ready to go. They were good years, too.

Hope your mom's time is all good, however much of it she's blessed with.

Agreed. There is a level of fight in all of us. But perhaps a master plan as well. My mom who had chronic lymphatic leukemia was given 10 years but lived 16. But in the last six years she made peace with several members of the family. Including my dad just months before she passed. All bitterness was gone. I literally got to witness a rebirth of my moms life just before she died.

I’ve hunted in some high desert regions. We can laugh but when it drops from 90+ during the day to below freezing at night it’s no joke. Mad respect for people who endure such extremes.

"Of course, I also say that "I'm working until lunch on the day of my funeral", so this is all just a waste of time/money...:D"

I said that for years, but now -- not a chance -- I've been doing what somebody else wants/needs for more than 40 years -- I finally realized that I'd like to do what I want to do. That is my new goal.

Money is a proxy for time -- control of your time is the goal. -- I wish i could take credit for this line, I saved it in my (work) computer 10 years ago, stumbled over it again a while back and found it motivating towards my more recent goals.

@Tacoma Mike I brought my truck in for the timing chain cover leak. Covered under power train warranty (mine expires October 30, 2020). Glad I checked it before the warranty expired. It’s a $4k job. Told me one week. I told them I wanted a master tech with 45 years experience to pull my engine. They said Mike’s not available, lol. Got the most experienced tech with 25 years experience, but I’m still scared.
Got a 2020 Cement SR5 loaner with 300 miles on it. This thing runs very nice. [IMG]
Heres a pic of my oil leak. This is after I wiped it clean a month ago, it came back , but didn’t drip on the ground. [IMG]

Storm supposed come through tomorrow afternoon/night. They did promise me that they’d keep my truck indoors during the storm and while they were closed.
