The old mail box was 25 years old and rotten, hope this one last as long.     Some years ago, about 25, someone put a 1/4 stick in my mailbox -- so I called our "town cop" in the little back water where I live and told him that "someone blew up my mailbox".

    His reply -- "Damn, that's the third one today".

    Then I found out that rural mailboxes were surprisingly expensive.
