    From my perspective, freaking' cold is below freezing, not below zero. I was in Iowa for Xmas a few years ago and it hit -5. It was painful and thought I was a gonna die a frozen death.

    its only painful when its -20 or below. thats when you get to the point that the snot in your nose and the tears in your eyes feels like its gonna freeze.
