I remember. When I was there, I was doing shift work and about the only benefit that I liked from shift work is that you got either mornings or afternoons to actually get some sun.

You need lots of bright LEDs at home now.

My father boxed professionally until he lost a kidney. He was really good with the belt, and fast. Mom would grab me by the shorthairs of the neck and pull, hard enough to make me go to my knees, then say wait until your father got home LOL. At sometime around the age of 16 I said FU to the old man. I found myself on the other side of the room. On the floor, looking up and he was standing over me telling me to get up. I said why so you can hit me again?! He said damn right! I deserved it and was smart enough to not get up until I apologized. His life lessons tend to stick with me until this day.

Try hunting up here. Half an hour before sunrise until sunset. By the time the month is over seems like you get in the woods and have to turn around and go back :pout:

On the flip side during summer fishing can be a marathon event!

I was 12. Sitting at the oval dinner table, mom and dad at the head ends, younger sis across from me.
Mom served some bean concoction that I detested. I kept pushing it around my plate and at some point my mom reminded me of the starving children in (pick whatever country in the early 80s).
"Well box the shit up and send it to them!"
Next thing I knew, I was off my chair and on the floor wondering what had just happened. Mom was still eating like nothing had happened. Dad was trying to act cool and not react. Sis was about to piss her pants laughing. To this day, I can say with utmost certainty, I never saw my mom move. That lady had stealth mode!

how long were you up there?
i got to a point that i was gravitating to a spot on the couch every day that got full sun through a south facing window. didn't think about it, just automatically i would end up in the same spot right as the sun started streaming in the window. my brain knew what i needed

    creepy andy

yup, hard to do anything outdoorsy this time of year. camping last weekend was rough - gets too dark and too cold to really enjoy sitting by the fire. summer time i'm out til 10 or 11 easy, i was tucked in bed by 9 both nights last weekend!

My mom always grabbed for a bar of ivory soap that she would coat in Tabasco and black pepper. Ugh I think I can still taste it...Haha so many (painful) but happy memories. I’m sure glad I can laugh about them now.

How dose someone with such a large history of the bad behavior not be banned? In this thread alone there is about 500 mentions of ban or ban hammer. why was this allowed to continue?

    There are always 2 sides.

People bring up a controversial subject and others overreact. Which should or shouldn't be banned?

I will repeat that avoiding a subject in this thread is best. Let's keep it to injuries while mowing and stuff like that.
