Morning window project went good. It wasn't just the window but also a patio door. Kinda chilly to start the morning. Home owner had coffee made for us. I brought the donuts.

Back from the doctors...parking lot was packed but i got in and out fairly painlessly.
They have one of those portable office construction site trailers set up for the COVID triage so you only go in the main building if youre not there for COVID. Dude at the door checks your temp, hands out masks if you dont have one, runs through the whole list of symptoms....no, no, no...on to the check in desk. Then they have the waiting room split into two sections now - one for folks with viral/contagious stuff and one for non contagious. Thankfully they directed me to the non contagious section. Only had to wait about 10-15 minutes and was whisked back to a room.

They think I picked up a staph infection somehow. I have a rash on my hands that I though was just my usual dry skin/eczema. It has flared up but I attributed that to my christmas decroating - remember i said im allergic to fake trees too? Anywho...staph infection in my hands spread to my eyes, picked up some antibiotics and I've been cleaning house like mad trying to disinfect everything I've touched in the last week.

Ugh...so sorry. Since getting hit with Graves Thyroid Disease and now fighting my way through Graves Eye Disease...I can tell you I have deep empathy for anyone dealing with anything that affects the eyes. Adding you to the list...hoping that the antibiotics kick in and this goes away soon.

Thank you. I appreciate that. I tell people to think of Marty Feldman. Mine is not as extreme but I’ve had double vision and constant pressure head/eye aches for over 2 years now. There is hope for treatment now if the insurance will ever approve it.

thanks - so far so good. first dose on antibiotics hasn't made me go all exorcist so that's a good sign. me and antibiotics dont usually do well together.

no. i get little scratches from the branches when i'm fluffing everything out. hands are usually a little torn up for a day or two and then i'm good. i wore gloves most of the day too because i knew to expect some irritation

i dont think that's how you're supposed to do that.

but if you do figure it out DONT repost the pics here.

no riff raff. i haven't been anywhere in a month except to the chiropractor's and grocery store. and i've always been in the habit of washing my hands as soon as i get home. done that for years.

    thanks chuck!

that does not sound fun. really hoping this is just some random isolated incident and i'll be over it in a week or two.

i will say my insurance has paid for itself these last few weeks. i switched to a different plan now that im done with allergy shots. lower deductible and copays for everything.
i got the official bill from my first chiro visit. $420. I paid $30
I think urgent care is a $50 copay
    My Rxs today were free.

And I still have money in my HSA from last year that I'm trying to use up so basically money I forgot I had.

Mom just got back to the retirement home. We had to jump through a few hoops to make it happen. I was worried she was scared or Anxious.

    I saw her and said

    sorry you went through that.

    What?

    The hospital

    What hospital?

    Sigh
