Yes. Sorta. We priced fully optioned versions of SoCal Teardrops Krawler and Adventure Trailers teardrop. Both came to more than we invested cost wise. Both would've had to be modified to fulfill all of our needs/wants. We do have a time investment that isn't calculated into the build - one year of weekends for 2 people. It was the funnest project we've ever done.

Ha I'd say I feel bad for you but just can't make myself do it. I'll keep this pic in mind while I'm blowing leaves and probably say bad things to myself

that nice! any issues towing? what is the weight? I have a v6 and tow package (I think..at least that's what the sticker said) is that what your truck is[/QUOTE]

No issues towing, though I go to Maine every year and hit some good grades like 11% to 15 % they are short in duration just keep it out of over drive and mosey along at 55 or 60 . I have the same V6 with tow package. I do run a weight distributing hitch / anti sway setup with air bags since I have never changed the rear springs yet from the weak TSB ones. I also put a larger transmission cooler in watching scan gauge on hot days with ac running and hitting the hills temp did get to 240s on the tranny and I was not liking that . A lot of folks who tow with our trucks do change the cooler out for a larger unit many posts here on it. Maxed out weight loaded down is 5k lbs, 1500 under the trucks rating which is about all I would tow with my truck but others tow more... Just because you can do things does not mean you should just saying. The trailer has elec brakes and rolls along very nicely . I will warn you it is pricey !!! there are other full fiber glass units out there Boler, Trillium etc that are less but not as customizable from the factory as mine.

    Afternoon Everyone !!!

Just got back from the Marine Corps 241rst Birthday celebration and had an awesome time . Nothing like the sound of 75 Marines inside an auditorium when a Marine says " I can't hear you " LOL !!!

A lot of loud Oooh Rah's and other loudness we Marines vocalize

I almost got to participate in the ceremonial cake cutting ceremony as at the moment when asked who was the oldest I was . Another Marine a few min later walked in and was born in 1930 , so i was the 2nd oldest at 1961

There was a high number of younger Marines this year mostly Gulf War and Afghanistan Veterans

This is the Cake cutting ceremony ( not the ceremony I attended ) where the oldest Marine passes the cake to the youngest Marine

Good afternoon last day in SD, 2.5 weeks went by fast. Hunted a couple of hours this morning then got too hot so taking a break until 4 when the phez move out from loafing areas to feed. Did the math last night and paid up, came to $205 for the whole time for great food, wine and drinks. Lodging is free hard to beat that.

Yeah my truck is 3 years old and I bought it to use as a truck and 4x4 access. It would cost me ~$20k for a UTV to get back into the places I start to hunt. And I have started to look at them, but hard to justify. Not so sure my scratches will buff out but after awhile just call them character marks. It isn't what is on the outside that counts it is what is on the inside, just saying...

The antenna to my truck is someplace down this trail.

2 of the people that came here have travel trailers and while nice not sure I would get my money worth out of them. The Cdr. just told me a couple of hours ago that if you use them they are worth it. If you don't they aren't. And I camp mainly in the fall and early winter. Once I retire for good that will change! Sleeping in the back gets old too
    [IMG]

Setting up camp with a full blown wall tent, cots and wood stove isn't bad it is the pack up that sucks
    [IMG]

With luck will make one more week grouse hunting after I get back. Cost me $110 a night to stay in an old cabin in the middle of nowhere but has running water, crapper and stove. For $200 a night can stay in a real resort and the thought has crossed my mind. No storage, insurance or setup. But a 4 season travel trailer sure would be nice....
