in my work place the higher the standards, the less you make.

 

Finally getting around to finish putting together my 35 spline Ford 9" from Quick Performance . Just painted the housing using Eastwood chassis black paint applied with a foam roller



This is one of the 3rd members painted with the same paint

Does your doctor know you're carrying around axle housings with your bad leg(s)?

 

Got to see my dad in the hospital for just a few minutes yesterday. Not gonna lie...it is hard to see the man, who has always been physically, emotionally, and spiritually strong and the backbone of your family all of his life, in that condition. But I held it in and kept telling him how good he's doing to recover and encouraging him to keep fighting. Doctors and therapists are still impressed with his improvement...just hard for me to see it since I hadn't been able to see him from the beginning of this.
I'll be seeing him again tomorrow. Thanks again everyone for your thoughts & prayers!

Thanks guys. I know many of the 50+ guys and gals have had similar experiences. It just really makes me appreciate y'all more too.

 

I'm glad to read he is doing better. Fortunately I have not had to experience any thing like that yet. Just watching my parents looking much older over time.

 

Dinner time. I made Greek style lamb kabobs on the pit. I finally got a marinade as good as the local Mediterranean place.

 

I'm not doing any of the work on the rear axle , a friend of mine is building the axle for me and the pics are from his shop

This housing is actually lighter than you think as it made from chromemolly tubing and 4130 billet steel . That housing only weighs 40lbs due to the lightweight materials and can easily carried by one person
