I have lived here nearly 30 years and have just got to a tolerable relationship with my neighbors. They are a surly bunch, not that I haven't stood my ground with them, but it's usually me against about 4 of them. Let's put it this way: they routinely call the police on each other. Enough said.

Got some snow, a few inches. We're on the north edge of this storm. Cleaned up around the house so the little dog can get out. I'll plow the driveway later.

I felt the same way when we did moms house. They worked their whole life for stuff and we were just giving it away or throwing it out. My brother thought that with us 6 kids we would pretty much take everything. Didn’t happen. The hospice center had a resale store, so we donated a lot of stuff.

Thats a good excuse to tell the wife, when your tring to convince her as to just why you need to spend the money.

It will give you a excuse to get out of the house when the MIL visits.

I remember those days. Then in spring, picking up all the gravel out of the lawn. I always call it the yearly gravel migration. Then I wondered just how times I picked up the same piece of gravel.

 

my parents, both in their 80’s got the first dose this week also.they were having trouble getting one so my wife gave them a # to call and they got it the next day.they were calling their docs office and were told they werent giving it yet. butt wipes didnt even tell them where to call to get one.sad!

 

wow never traveled much but went bear hunting in Maine one time. my uncle drives tractor trailer to Maine every week. told me the roads to take and what to go around. coming home @5pm decided to go strait thru Waterbury Danbury which he told me to bypass.lord have mercy. 85mph bumper to bumper. held tight and went with the flow. that made this country boy have sweaty hands.we were in our 20’s back then.

 

snow let up. the real stuff is suppose to be mid day today. for you northern brothers its just a skiff i know. lol

 

I'd give my toes to be there, live there. That place is like home to me. Good luck, sounds like a good one is coming.
