I'm just throwing it out there Chris, and it's definitely not a cure all, but have you tried an inversion table?

i have asked about it and they told me the relief would only be brief. i tried one of the big ball things for a couple days and it had me out of work for a couple of weeks. the joint with no disc has bone spurs that rub against each other inflaming the nerve. and the 2 ruptured ( or beyond ruptured as the doctor called it i have no idea what that means) have slid into the nerve channel in 6 places causind alot of the pain and numbness in my feet. i haven't had an mri on my back in a couple of years at the time of the last one i had 4 more discs that there is only about 1/3 left i have no idea what they are like now and don't really want to know

I was thinking it would probably be only temporary relief but, what I do is hit the table a little bit before bed time and it helps me sleep a lot better. When I get up I'll sometimes hit it again and most times again when I get home.

Once the damage is there, it's there. But even a little relief goes a long way. But those tables are fairly inexpensive. I've seen them from $89 up to $500, but after reading different reviews, they all work around the same concept. Mine is an off brand that would probably retail pretty low.

    Same as everybody else...
My PT recommended an inversion table for me as it may possibly help. Locally there are always a lot of them on Craigslist for much less than I 've seen them online. Just an idea if someone decides to go that route.
