    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
I've tried to seal cracks in radiators with JB Weld, but it's just a bandaid and a poor one at that. You'll be further ahead if you get a cheap one from RockAuto, provided you can stretch the budget for it.

Sure would be nice to peek under the valve cover.......
might reveal the condition of the whole engine.

I assume you're gonna go a compression test when all back together.....

Poorly painted hood, glasspack/muffler, toolbox on rear portion of bed, El cheapo radio n speakers.
Update- Not fully back together. It's a slow process now due to running dang close to out of money for this thing... Currently, everything's on, minus the intake piping and a single brace past that it's ready to fire. This brings me to the first pictures I posted. The air intake piping, the second half that has a resonator on it, has that sludge that was inside the old motor in it. Right now there's some gas sitting inside it to break everything down. Hopefully, it'll be cleaned up in the morning. If not I'll see if I can find somewhere that can clean it for me.

PS. I WISH I took a picture of the inside of the motor. It was CLEAN. Dang it was clean. And yes, I know JB welding a radiator is a bandaid for it. But once again, I'm pretty close to being out of money for fixing this truck up.

Still likely a band aide but there is something better than JB weld. Brownell's Acraglas is a two part epoxy made for bedding rifles. Have heard of folks that used it to fill/fix cracked engine blocks but who knows. I know for certain that it's still holding a rifle sight and base on a gun barrel for me after I knocked it completely off driving the wrong way with a punch and claw hammer on the dove tail. Broke the brazing loose. Cleaned it up, filed both surfaces a little to have something to grip and acraglas'd that sucker. Still holding and solid, looks factory, 12+ years later. Stuff is unreal.

And good luck on the truck. Hope you pull it off with a win.

You can send a sample out and have it tested to see what it is.

Update- It's done. The radiator couldn't be saved, had to modify the brackets and put them on one that was meant to be for an automatic. On the 7th me and my friends got it fired up for the first time and after running all the old gas out of it, it runs so smoothly... Now it's my daily driver. Yeah there are some things that should be fixed on it soon but right now? I'm taking the massive win and enjoying it.

3-month update- Well... Roughly 3 months... Anyways. Ol' Scarlet's my daily still and yes I named it Scarlet just because it was about the best name thrown around at the time so it stuck.
Now... I mentioned in an earlier post that all the small things that should be fixed on it pretty soon. Here's the list of all the things that I should tie off before I keep going.
1- Tires and rims, the old tires are dry rotted pretty badly and the rims are 14's AKA pretty hard to find decent tires for. That said, what size rim would be best to go to 15 or 16's?
2- Suspension, Scarlet bounces A LOT, especially on a bridge I regularly drive on. Have to throw my toolbox and ramps in the back so it doesn't bounce AS much but... Yeah. Honestly debating on getting a decently priced lift kit for it... Does anyone have any suggestions on that?
3- A/C, it's not hooked up. At all.
4- Heater core, it's FULL of the sludge that was in the engine so me and my buddies bypassed it altogether.
And 5. Brakes... Oh boy. Yes, they still stop the truck but I'd rather just swap them out and be done with it.
