Coming up on the first service of the Tacoma, 5000 miles. Any suggestions? I am thinking about putting a K&N filter in and switching to synthetic oil. Any suggestions if I should do that or not? Thanks!

To be honest, I want to eek out all the mpgs I can get! I know K&N air filters help somewhat and I have been told the synthetic oil helps the engine run cooler and cleaner thus helping gas mileage as well.

Thanks for the replies thus far!
