My truck is almost ready to have the 5000 mile/6 month service due. My question is - do you get the latest TSB's under the service being done or do you have to ask about them ? I don't know of any issues with my truck.

    Short answer is NO.

You need to file a complaint about your truck. Even you don't have or feel any issue, it's good to it update. But some dealerships don't do it if you don't have any problem with your truck.

Go to others threads and learn more about the complaints.

    Yup!

Yup! And tell them your issue is intermittent (mostly happened going uphill and into traffic). They may take your truck for a test drive, and as always they are rarely replicated the issue.

Some won't even rotate the tires. The previous time I went (and last) was the annual check I had just about 4000 miles on the odo. Asked them to just inspect it and rotate the tires. Got it back in 15 minutes which I knew they didn't rotate the tires, I didn't care since I was getting Cooper AT3s soon. Whichever the case, I'm sure they pulled it in, looked at it and said this is fine, wait a few minutes and send it back out.

In other words if its dusty, humid, snowy, wet, cold, short trips, idling a lot, towing, maximum loads, change oil every 5000 miles. Its just a lot easier to change the oil and filter every 5000 miles unless you have perfect driving conditions. Constant temps, never cold,no short trips, no loads,no dust, not wet....
