I bought my 2019 Sport 6MT new for $32,500 and it has 8000 miles on it now and no problems yet. I just knocked on my wooden table.

TW Education Moment: the whole "knock on wood" thing is from an old Celtic belief that faeries live in trees and part of their spirit is in all wood so you try to wake them up when you say something so they will bring you good luck.

Same here. Purchased at 14k in April of 2020. The only real issues I've had weren't things you could blame the truck for except those covered by the recall campaigns, which weren't even problems to begin with for my truck.

I assumed this thread was posted as a counter to all of the threads where people hate their Tacoma and think its garbage within the first 100 miles.

In the spirit of this thread, I also drove 25k a year on my first 3rd Gen and am slowly ramping up the miles on my new 3rd. No issues. Transmission is fantastic.

I don't have enough miles on my Taco to really justify commenting on reliability (<600 miles lol)

But I will say scrolling around on the forum here there is a ton of negativity that I think stems from mismanagement of expectations.

You have people that bought a mid-size 4 or 6 cylinder pickup truck that want their truck to accelerate like a GT500, have an interior from a Rolls Royce, fit 35's with no lift, and average 30+ mpg. Obviously that's all a little hyperbolic but you get what I mean and it seems silly to me.

Welcome to TW. I'd say that's a fair observation.
