    I lived in the 'sunshine' state from '78 - '81. Survived the Cocaine Cowboys (Miami police commissioner warned the citizens to "arm yourselves because we can no longer protect you", on the evening news), the Liberty City Riots and Mariel Boatlift. Made a beeline right back to good ole' NY! Promised that I would never go back and haven't been back yet.

    Funny thing about A/C - bought a '79 Plymouth Volare wagon brand new and AC was an option you had to order and pay extra for way back then. :evil:

    growing my parents had a Chevrolet station wagon and couldn't afford the extra $500 for the AC option big mistake for the N Carolina 103 degree in the shade summers, funk dat

    When I was in California it cost me $515 to register in 2019. Now that I am in Texas it's $48 and I never have to smog it either. I just have to get an annual $7 state inspection.
