Hello! I am the proud owner of an 01 4 cylinder xtracab. Although I am a new member of this forum, I have browsed it in the past when I needed help or just wanted to learn more. And the topic that I can't seem to find what I'm looking for is about stacking 5100s and spacers.

(Yes I am aware of all the other threads that say do not stack lifts, If there already is a thread about my question please link it, but hear me out, I HAVE used the search function and the results have not answered my question)

I have an 01 xtra cab with a 2.5 inch spacer in the front to level it out, and recently have been looking at plate bumpers. I know that the weight of the bumper and winch would cause the front to sag more, causing the truck to no longer be level.

My question is, if I purchase 5100s and place them on their lowest setting of 1.25 inches WITH my 2.5 inch spacer (3.75 inches of lift in theory), would the added weight of the bumper and winch bring the front back down within a range that would not reek havoc on my CV angles, and not cause my shock to bottom out before the bump stop? I would add a dif drop kit of course, and if needed limit straps or larger bump stops.

Apologies for the long first post! Thanks!

Don't stack them. If anything buying some OME coils and put those on the 5100's. they'll handle the weight way better. Just don't stack them it will mess up your entire from suspension geometry...

If you get the bumper, get rid of the spacer, stick some eibachs/5100's or OME 885 and their nitro shock up front.

X3 eibach coils with 5100's at their lowest setting (0in)=2.75-3inches lift with bumper. Would be much smoother too than having all that spacer preload crap

Thank you to all for the advice and information!

Isn't the lowest 5100 setting at 1.25 inches? And I guess if the front nose dived under the weight I could always bump the 5100s up a notch. And just to be clear, this

    is the correct eibach coil?

Lowest setting is 0, stock height, this is also the ONLY setting you can run an aftermarket coil on. Setting the height above 0 with an aftermarket coil is not an option. The lift settings are meant for your stock coil only.

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Yes those are the correct coils. I think this would be the best route for you. Since your adding a bumper eventually. Like everyone said, don't stack the spacer with anything, throw it out and atleast get the 5100s. But the best way would be to get the coils w/ the 5100's. The coil will support a bumper and provide lift. If your not wanting close to 3" of lift w/ the bumper on, then you could go with OME coils (881). They are an aftermarket coil, but the 881 is a softer coil (500lbs, I think) and with a bumper I've read it gives roughly 1.75" of lift. So there are options to look into so you get the truck exactly where you want it.
