Hey guys, I've tried looking around the forum for an answer but I can't seem to find one. I apologize in advance if the answer is out there.

I had a quick question about the 5100s set at .85. Do you need to replace anything else when you do this slight lift, or do you use the stock coils and everything? Are there any negative wear and tear that comes from this lift or is it so small it won't change much with wear and tear? What is the best setup with them at .85

Thanks in advance! Love this site and all you fellas

My 2015 TRD sport has 5100 with 884 Springs set at 0. Truck is level. Rides and handles very well. Did alignment after install. Maybe this will help.

The 5100s are set at 0? Are the 884 Springs stock?

You can set the 5100's to .85, and not have to do anything else, besides an alignment. Truck should sit mostly level, with a very slight rake.

Awesome! Thank you. I know any lift puts on more wear, but with .85 in the front is it something to worry about?

884's are OME aftermarket springs that provide more lift than the stock springs. This is why he has his set to "0" and has his leveled. You can use your stock springs set to .85, and be as I described above.

You will be fine. Mine are set at .85 with Eibach Coils for over 4 years now. Compressing your factory spring will cause a stiffer ride. So you see a lot of people replace the coils for a better ride or maybe a little more lift upfront. I have a very slight shake at 55mph that i didn't have before so i'm thinking its just the 70K miles that i've put on my tires starting to cause a small shake. Mine is sorta hard to align but aligns in spec with someone who knows what they're doing.

As noted in the dozens of 'lift' threads, preloading an OE spring to gain lift isn't the best approach. .85 is minimal, but if you are already into the $ for shocks and labor, spend a few more $ for the right spring.

Picking the right spring for the job, and damper to control the spring properly is a better program. The 884/5100 combo above will give a better result.

And yes, anytime you change the suspension geometry, (lifts, etc.) a corrective alignment will be needed.

I'm glad I went this way. There better than stock springs. Also I did my truck with about 750 miles on it. So I really could tell the difference because my truck was new.

The 884/5100 combo you're referring to is the 5100s set at 0 with the 884 correct? And what damper would you suggest?

I had mine set to .85 for ~ 7 years. no issues whatsoever, and really improved the ride, and handling. No downside.

There is a disclaimer that I have to throw out there: There is always a chance you could develop the front diff. vibe whenever lifting, (some have gotten it when completely stock, but lifting seems to increase your chances) however it seems pretty rare for anyone set to .85, or lower to get it.

If you put 885's and bilstiens set to get 2.5" lift and AAL in rear, do you have to shim to correct the drive shaft angle ? Just wondering the sell the spacer ,but not included in the kit.

I did the 5100s on stock springs a month ago. The truck rides great, big difference IMO. Now to note,I did remove the front sway bar.
