Ok. I have read enough on this site that i now have paralysis by analysis. 3 years ago i bought a daystar leveling kit. Sapcer in the front, block in the back. It was cheap and it worked for me. I have since pulled it all out and have been at stock for the last year and a half. i have just ordered the Bilstein 5100 adjustables for the front.

My question is, if i install the 5100 at the lowest setting, use the stock springs, and add the daystar back on top, what lift will i get and how will the ride quality be?

My guess is that the springs will not have as much preload as they do with the stock strut so ride quality should improve. The 5100 has longer travel than stock so i should be good there. Not sure what the lift will be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to avoid too much preload and too stiff of a ride. Guess i should have ordered Eibach springs to accompany the 5100's. any other recommendations?

Don't mix the two, it'll preload the stock spring too much, and ride like shit. It will also wear-out your 5100's alot faster. I'd just set it at .85 like Burghlar said, you'll be able to fit 265/70/17's no problem. If you want lift, order the Eibach springs and a 1.5" rear block w/ U-bolts, or an AAL. Goodluck Buddy!

Also, putting that spacer on will not only pre-load your stock spring, but also limit you when you get an alignment done, because your pushing up on the Upper control arms too much. Which then will wear out your outter side of your tires.

Thanks for the input. I have decided that i want 2" of lift. I have a 2011 double cab long bed 4x4 trd sport with a tool box that adds about 150lb to the truck. I cant find Eibach springs that aren't already with the shocks so i will go with ARB/OME. Do i need 884's or 885's? I will also add 1.5" block in the rear.
