I know that the 5100's are the way to go for a less expensive way to go to level out the truck but what I dont understand is why the ride is so much better than a spacer lift? both are preloading the spring, right?

Billys are designed not to bottom out. They do not over extend the strut assembly like spacers do.

Would having both a level kit and the 5100's be any big deal?

Why waste your money on both when 1 item does the job?

The 5100's are valved to dampen the stiffer spring rate.

It would be redundant. You can't run any sizable spacers unless the billy are set at zero. And what would be the point of that?

Correct. Both are garbage for different reasons.
