Want to level my truck out for a better look and reduce or stop rubbing. I've never done any kind of lift with a truck and so I'm looking for answers! I seen these and felt they would be the best way to go. Would I need anything else or would I just order these and have them installed and that's that?

Can do that. Should be able to find them for about 200 and get the third gen ones.
I have mine on the third setting and they feel great. Nothing to the rear end.

I’d recommend using OME coils springs (for however much lift you desire) with the 5100’s set at 0 lift. Using the lift settings of the coil itself leads to a stiff ride. Unless that’s what you’re looking for..

I would look into some OME Nitro Charged shocks. I put my 5100s on less then 2 years ago and they are blown.. I don’t even off-road with them! Same with a buddy of mine.. On top of that Bilstein says leaking oil is normal. Tell that to the state inspection department and they won’t pass your inspection because if it.. Not to happy with mine and I’ll be buying the OME in the next couple weeks! Wife gave me the ok while on her epidural while in labor yesterday haha! I will say I like HeadStrong Off-Road

Apparently the OME shocks ride really rough though. Good for outback, bad for the street. Everyone I know that has had them, has swapped them out for something else in the long run.

Can’t speak for longevity of the 5100s but ride quality is great in my opinion

I’m willing to get by with a little more of a rough ride if it means I get more then 2 years out of them. To each there own I just wanted to warn everyone

If you're just looking for 1in or less I'd do aluminum spacers above your current TRD yellow shocks. If you do more than an inch the rear will probably need more lift to or it will look nose high.

You can level the truck with the 5100 shocks and reuse your stock coils. This is THE BEST way to do it that is cost effective and will still give a nice ride without spacers. Coils are what provide the lift up front. With 5100's you have an adjustable collar that sets the spring height (lift). Too much, however, will cause a lot of preload and it will ride like a dumptruck.

PM @Tretiak30 and he will get you setup with everything you need.

Local TW members will be your best bet. You can get everything installed quickly, cost effectively (few pizzas and beer) and you will also learn a lot about your rig. Triple WIN!

5100s with stock springs solve much of the less desirable aspects of the stock OR suspension. Less brake dive, less wallow, better handling off and and road.

This is my experience with 1.5” of lift up front on 5100s and stock springs.

    Thanks for the tag @geekhouse23

I guess it depends on where and how you will use the truck too. 5100s are an awesome cost effective way to maintain a good ride while achieving lift, but you could also look into the 6112s which is a beefed up 5100 that'll probably last longer if you hit the back road more often.

I’m looking at switching from my rough country 2” spacer leveling kit to 5100’s. What notch setting do y’all recommend to get level? I don’t have anything in the back.

Depends on which coils you're going to run.
