This is probably the 5th or 6th time I've seen this happen.

Just to re-iterate again...DO NOT DRIVE THE TRUCK UNTIL YOU FIX THEM.

And be very careful when recompressing the spring, in case the c-clip gives out. Don't put your hands in the way of the perch.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Now I know what not to do when and if I ever get around to doing this. Good luck!

My factory struts were getting replaced at the dealership under warranty so they installed my 5100's for me instead. I gave them the directions, two hours later they called and said they wouldn't fit. After talking to them they said they would make it work. I drove down there and all the techs were looking at it. One even said "you could go rock climbing with this thing now". I have the TSB rear springs and it was WAY high in the front, I looked only to find out they installed the perch's upside down. I wouldn't even drive out of there like that. The tech admitted he only looked quickly at the directions.

I really hope that little ring doesn't let go before you get it fixed!!!! The spring perch covers the ring and holds it in place. It's real easy to remove the ring.

    Hope all goes well!!!
