    Hello Forum,

    I have an '08 PreRunner 4.0 with 285/70r17 GY MT's on 6 spoke FJ Alloys & the following suspension:

    5100's (4) with front @ 2.5.
    Rear OEM 3/1 leafs with Wheelers 3 leaf AAL & overload left in place.

    I set my fronts at 2.5 after having them at 1.75 for almost a year. I want to add 1 more inch to the rear & I have 2 questions:

    * Do I get a 1" steel block or a 1" AAL?
    (I'm concerned that the AAL will stiffen the rear even more)

    * Do I need longer shocks (like OME N182 or any other brand) or can I install shock extenders on my 5100's?

    Bump -
    I'm in the same predicament. I have the 1.5 three leaf AAL and non-TSB springs. My shell has brought me down to only 1" of lift in the rear. I'd like to bring my adjustable fronts up to 2.5 or so, but then I have bad bro-lean. I know, stacking lifts is a huge sin around here, but for my daily driving and low off road needs, I think adding a small block would be beneficial. I have 2" blocks on the shelf, just not sure I want to go that far. That would be 3" or less in the rear as my springs continue to settle over time. I will buy a new leaf pack down the road and do this right, but for now, I'm going for a temporary fix. Would a 2" block along with my current rear set up (only netting 1" of lift) be a bad move?

    Thanks, I've got some one inch blocks coming so I will add those soon. I appreciate the insight.

    I think that's pretty good for Billies @ 2.5. My wife & I drove to Atlanta & back (10.5 hours each way) & she thinks it felt great. "Drives like a truck" she said. We took turns driving. I thought of buying 885's with UCA's but that's almost $800 just to have a slightly softer ride & dead center alignment but with my end results I think I'll be fine & $800 richer. Also, when you look at my truck (facing the front of the truck) the tires look straight!
