2.5" lift in front, aFe air intake, anytime foglights, cut 9" off antenna, superwhite headlights, spintech exhaust, med. tint in the front, weathertech floorliners and caltech seat covers, dashtek dash cover, CHLM, debadged and destickered,
Hey everyone, sorry for another lift question. Im going cross-eyed reading all the info here. I am getting 5100s put all around my dcsb 4x4 tomorrow. I will be getting rid of the max tracks 2.5" lift that is on there now. I am looking to get back up to around 2-2.5" of lift and I am now realizing I may need more than just the 4 5100s. My main goal for doing this is to improve the ride quality. I off-road about 10 times a year which includes fire roads and mud puddles. I do not rock crawl or anything extreme. I don't mind the front being slightly taller than the back. I rarely haul or tow much. Any recommendations on what would go best with the 5100s to achieve my goals? Thank you!

dont preload the 5100s with the stock spring. it will ride harsh. get eibach coils while youre at it

for a better ride quality I would do OME coil springs(885) w/ 5100 set at 0 and 1.5-2 in aal in rear would be what I would suggest

Yah I guess it comes down to preference but is there really a difference between the eibachs and the OEMs? They both seem pretty popular on here. Maybe Ill order some and have them installed later. I kinda want to see what it feel like with the old ones first. Plus I already have the apt tomorrow. If I waited to install the coils, would that mean I would need a second alignment done?

I just installed 5100's with OME 885's set billies at 0. For the rear I went with Icon progressive leaf pack. Got about 2 1/2 lift in the front and 1 1/2 rear truck sits level now. So far the ride has been very nice.

Nice! Im debating the 884s or the 885s. Did you have to do new UCAs with your 885s? Why not set the 5100s to .85 or 1.75? Does the coils make that adjustment unnecessary? Sorry for all the questions

From everything I read you don't want to pre-load the springs so keep them set at 0. 885's seem to be a good middle ground for the springs. No UCA's yet everything aligned up good. But if I have issues down the road I will.

Ok so I was all set to get OME 885 coils to get my 2.5". Then the toytec rep said 5100s and OME don't mix. Very contrary to what Ive read here but he's the pro. The guy doing all the work on my truck said the same thing. Yet 100s of people are rocking that set up on here. So I decided to go with eibachs and set my 5100s at .85 to get around 2.4-2.5'' I kinda like the nose a little higher so for now the back will stay the same except for new 5100s being installed back there. Possible icon progressive aal later but for now i'll try this out. I should get it installed this week and ill post pics. Just curious, does $1100 installed sound about right for 5100s all around with the eibach coils up front? Parts and labor included. It is what it is now but im just curious. Thanks for all the help guys!

OME fit fine on 5100's. Can't remember springs don't fit I think Icon. Sounds a bit high for the install but I was cheap and did mine myself. Come to think about it I probably spend about $700 buying everything plus alignment so maybe it's not a bad price.

That's what I thought but I decided to take their advice and go with eibach since it was essentially the same price and height as OME. Yah it was $800 just to install 4 5100s so I guess its ok.

I'd recommend eibachs anyway. they were designed to work together. that price seems very excessive.
