volcom, cool it with the memes. unfortunately for Mr. ostrichsak, you are more correct than he in your assessment of how bilsteins preload the coils. the bottom clip moves up, putting more pressure on the coil, while the top of the coil does not move it pushes the truck up with the added pressure from the c clip.

you're forcing the spring into a smaller space than it was originally designed and while it does push up to lift the vehicle, it struggles to do so. there isn't a 1:1 move ratio for the spring, for ever X inches you move up, there isn't a the same X on the top end.
