So, I installed billies on all 4 corners on my 05 4x4 ext cab about 3 weeks ago.

I set the clip at the 1.75” mark (3rd notch). all of the reading I did said that the 3rd seat should level out the truck, if not make it a little nose high. Which is what I wanted.

After install, the front is now 2” lower than the rear. I’m still on the factory coil springs with 165k on them. I installed the TSB leafs in the rear about 10k miles ago. Could it be that my front springs are just worn out and preventing the full lift?

This leads me to my next question. I’m looking into new coils, either Eibach 2.5” lift, or ome 885s will either of them make the truck too nose high? (With the 5100s set to factory height.) I’m hoping for level, if not 1 inch of rake or so.

So you’re saying you got zero total lift? Or it made the front lower even more? Most of the Tacoma’s have about 1”-1.5 of rake from the factory. So if you didn’t do anything in the rear your saying you got zero lift from the 3rd setting with the oe coils.

Also just curios , why would you want to be nose high?

Don’t want to be nose high. Just level, or just about 1” lower in the front.

I’m not sure what the stock height is on my truck, because it had a 2” poly spacer on it when I got it. It was pretty much spot on level when I installed the Bilsteins.

Now I’m 2” lower than the rear, even though it should be around ~1/4” lower than the spacer lift.

May be a stupid question and by no means trying to offend but when you say third notch that would be 3rd notch from the bottom? One notch above correct? Did you actually do it or have a shop do it? If a shop did it I would double check if not already done.

No offense taken. I did the work myself, and I set them on the 3rd notch from the bottom. It compressed the spring enough that it was kind of a pita to get the compressors back out lol

I had a similar issue, only got about 1" on 3rd clip. Tried 885s and still no luck.

Ended up ditching the bilstiens and going with kings and absolutely love them.
