I have 5100's at 2.5 on stock sport springs. I was thinking about getting ome 885 springs and setting the 5100's at 0. Has Anyone here made the switch from billies to this setup? Is it worth it? Does it improve the ride much?

    yes and yes.

if you're a 4x4 it puts you at about 2.75" and if you're not you get just over 3"

Correct me if I am wrong but I think the numbers stated above will only be achieved with the optional spacer.

I had stocks at 2.5, went to 885 at 0, didn't like it so bumped up to 0.85, still too soft so went 886 at 0.

Mines pretty stiff now. Stiff enough to take turns at 65 with minimal roll and no sway bar.

Yup....had 5100's set at 2.5 with stock coils. Went to 885's with 5100's at 0 and a 1/2 top plate spacer.

At first I thought it didnt make much of a difference. Now that Ive been driving it for awhile the ride quality is better. I also ended up with the same amount of lift I had before.

yeah you're wrong. only spacer i put on was the 1/4" to fix the taco lean.

If you wanted the full 3" for a 4x4, the spacer would be needed; or bumping the 5100s (not recommended but people do it) to .85".

so 885x coils on 5100 @ 0 and no spacer is about equal to 5100 @ 2.5 on stock coils?

Yeah that sounds about right. I have 5100's set at 0 with the older 885's and top plate spacer and I got 3"s of lift out of mine.

So it's not a huge difference in ride quality. My front end with 5100's at 2.5 and e rated Toyo Open Country MT's is pretty stiff.
