Diego came by to pick up a cb antenna bracket I made for his truck.
While he was her I decided to snap a couple of shots.

He sits about 1/2" higher from the tires being different. They both ride very nicely!

this is exactly what i've been looking for. Thank you

So the only difference in height is attributable to the larger tires?

Correct! However, he could also crank up his coilovers more. IMO, the ride is rough enough though and when off road there is not much "extension" before the travel is maxed out.

Man, there's a lot of Vegas presence on here!

    Nice trucks.

Maybe you can answer a question for me that I'm having trouble sorting out? It sounds like with either coil, Bilstein adj, or a coilover front lift (all looking for 2.5") - I'm restricted to only about an inch of down travel - resulting in a rougher ride. What's the best way to maintain near factory ride quality and travel?

Down travel is limited, I am not sure exactly how much. I guess longer shock extension would help. I do not have an issue with my 5100's. As far as the rear goes, do you have the TSB? It is a bit rougher but better as it is a truck, not a sedan, IMO. If stock ride is whished, blocks are good. They are my least favorite method but they work.

I don't have the TSB and am not planning on going with a block rear. I'm fine with a little more rigid of a ride - I just don't want it to get like my Chevy was with the torsions adjusted... that sucked.

Don't mean to get off subject but seeing as how you have the exact set-up i'm contemplating....what do you think is the largest tire you could fit on there? (on stock rims)

I had an 07 with a 3" spacer in the front and ran 285's....it rubbed but I beat the shit out of it and never had an issue with them tearing anything apart!

I had a 97 Chevy 1500 with a Procomp 6"....Shitties truck I owned. Looked badass but between the harsh ride from the torsions and the front end needing replaced every 4 months....F that! Got my 07 Prerunner after that.
