I have a dcsb on the 5th perch and a dclb on the 4th perch. Both have 1.5 tapered blocks, front diff drops and rear carrier bearing drops, 1/4 shim for the lean, ECGS clamshell bushing, 265/70/17 SL rated toyo open country at2s on 4runner pro wheels. Both are identical and ride and drive nearly identical as the long bed rides a little smoother because of the wheelbase. In my opinion the short bed (son's truck) is dead level and looks great as the long bed (mine) has a ever so slight rake which I wanted. The only difference I see between the two is a tiny bit of more gap between the top of the front tire and the bottom of the fender. The short bed sits 1/4 higher but its extremely hard to see if your not aware. I will post pics later. I wanted a slight rake as I think it was best for the long bed as a leveled look which can be more deceiving looking like its higher in the front reversed rake as some say.
Again its hard to see and at several angles and looking from the front both look the same but from the side its a little more noticeable I think but that's because I know. Pics coming!

So far the reviews have been pretty positive of 5100s with stock coils On this thread.... Interesting because most of my research on TW told me they weren’t recommended with stock coils when off-roading the truck on a semi regular basis

The ride will be much stiffer pre loading the stock coils. Truck will ride more like a trailer offroad with the stock coils preloaded. You can always upgrade later to an aftermarket coil like eibach or ome.

I've had mine on for a few weeks now, no complaints here. Did 5100's on the fourth notch in the front, with factory coils, and Bilsteins in the rear with an Icon AAL. Only downside I see, is I'm sitting a little lower on the driver side, than the passenger....but the difference is negligable, honestly. I attribute that to a worn coil more than anything(97,xxx on the truck right now).

Intuitively, How can it lift the vehicle and the spring be more compressed than stock. It is perched two inches higher and it is lifted two inches. Where is it compressing?

What is that source? I did not see that in my packaging for my Bilstein 5100s. Because if you measure the notches themselves, it’s straight up two inches. So where did you get this from? Where is that extra half an inch coming from?

As you can see in both diagrams, the further you compress the coil, the higher the lift.

You stated/asked "intuitively how can the coil be shortened yet ride be height increased?"

    You answered your own question.

how? I said it’s raised two inches on the perch, and you get a two inch lift. Are you okay bud?

You too, after posting a diagram that isn’t a Bilstein 5100 3rd gen shock. You got this bud. I believe in you.
