OP, you can run Bilstein 12" travel shock in the rear. You just need to change the bushing or put a little elbow grease into making them fit.

I'm stoked to see anyone actually wheel their rig. I just said drop bracket lifts are less favorable. It's hard to believe that's the thing folks are upset about.

Yeah I'm going to have to get it measured. I had mentioned it's at the shop right now and the guy working on it has worked on a 6inch Tacoma before so I'm sure he knows how to measure it well. Good to know about wheeling it. So this Tacoma I have now has been powder coated for that reason. I picked it up in Vancouver Washington so that's pretty near from all that salt water. Is why I sold my 2001 tacoma a couple years back because the rust on the frame was bad and the dealership was charging me 16k for a new frame. Where I live is nowhere near the salt water which is good

What has been powder coated? That's a oven baked process.

The only way to powder coat a frame is to have it completely bare, which is highly unlikely in most cases.

Thanks man I appreciate it, makes things a little quick for me. I would still have to tell the guy at the shop to measure the shock for me to get myself some new ones. See so the guy I bought my Tacoma from told me had put an extra leaf on there so it wouldn't sag it when he would put weight on it in the back. He would take it hunting so he said he would pack it with things in the back.

Yes definitely man, yeah who knows which ones he could have put and just told me they were the right ones that had to go on there. I'll keep everyone post in mind. Many different and great ways to go
