    Hello TacomaWorld,

I had planned on getting a set of the 5100 for a shock and strut upgrade on my truck to level it out for looks. Now here's my problem, I just got back from the shop for an unrelated issue and the mechanic told me that my leaf springs in the back are getting a little tired. I'm pretty sure my truck got the TSB done (bought it used) because it's a 3+1 leaf set I have. Now I called around for new leaf springs and got recommended to just AAL vs. paying $800 for a new set installed. But the thing is, this will give me an extra 2" roughly in the rear. So if I get this AAL done, will the top setting on the front 5100s give me the leveling I want, or because of the AAL in the rear, I'll still have a rake?

P.S. - I'm new here so bear with me....

    Thanks

Most of the time if you go 2.5 on your Billys you will end up with just a little "bro lean" or slightly higher in the front. Most trucks are just a little different, some are dead level. A lot of guys on here go with a 1.5 aal and 2.5 on the billys. That will put you real close to level. If you do a quick search im sure you will find plenty of pics of trucks running this setup. Welcome to TW BTW

$800 for a pair of leaf packs is crazy.

I just called Toyota, so they're probably double the price by default because you know, Stealership effect...

I rarely carry any load in the bed, so I'm also considering just leaving them as is.

I'm at 1.75 on the Billes with the Wheelers 1.5 AAL, no TSB 2+1 pack.

I've got a little rake, and need to go up to 2.5 on the Billies to be level. The AAL has been on for 6 months so it should be mostly settled. If you put the billies at 2.5 you should be good.

Thanks for all the helpful info! Since I don't want a lift, I'm just gonna go ahead and order the 5100s and get 2 new leaf springs. Gonna install the rear stuff first and see how much I need in the front and adjust the front strut accordingly. I'll keep you posted!
