I'm going to add my question to this thread to avoid starting a new one since my topic is related. My apologies if it comes off as hijacking... I'm looking to upgrade the suspension on my DCSB TRD OR and am getting overwhelmed with all the possible combinations. I am already running 1.25" spidertrax spacers on all four wheels. The following is what I am intending to go with and I'd appreciate any input on whether or not my expectations are realistic or not.
    Planning to do now:
    1) OME 886 Coils
    2) Bilstein 5100s set to stock height (also considering the OME struts but 5100s seem to be preferred)
    3) 1/2" top plate spacers
    4) Diff drop kit (is this a bad idea?)
    5) Carrier bearing drop (necessary, suggested?)
    What I'm hoping to achieve:
    - A slightly front end high stance, not a west coast "dude bro" stance but slightly higher. No offense to any dude bros that happen to be reading, just not my style.
    - I'm hoping to fit a 33x10.50R16 on my stock OR rims, hoping this is possible due to the spacers. Out of curiosity could I expect 285/75R16 tires fit my setup?
    - Hoping to end up with a truck slightly more capable than stock. The extent of my "wheeling" is limited to that which is necessary for accessing sometimes remote areas for camping, fishing, and hunting.
    Future plans:
    6) Upper control arms (unless necessary now)
    7) AAL in the event that my front end is sitting higher than my liking (this may be bumped up to the "now" section)
Sorry for the long post, hoping you guys can fill me in on stuff I may have overlooked or may just have completely wrong. To the OP; sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread. Hopefully this info will be helpful to somebody else in the future as well.
    Thanks.

You will be very high on the front of the truck without any lift in the rear.

Think Deaver 1.5-2 inch AAL will do the trick?

Yeah that should be good. I have a a wulf AAL from Amazon and I got a solid 2" on my truck. I would consider the deaver to be of better quality.

Agreed, need some lift in back otherwise you will be looking super bro lean, my truck with 886/5100, driver 1/4 spacer and HS 3AAL rear sits about 1/2" lower in front, perfect and that's with no weight either.
Diff drop and carrier, id say no for now, UCAs more than likely yes

So since your riding 886/5100 without weight it's not jarring ride? I'll probably go 886 when I get 125lb bumper

I mean its stiffer than stock and than 888 yes obvi but is it bad or jarring etc, I personally don't think so. Its still springy just not super soft n squishy. Ive driven in heavy duty trucks/dualles etc and those r fucking stiff man, u feel it all n my back hurts after a ride in those.

Thanks, in light of further research I actually think I'm going to keep it simple and go with the Eibach kit and see how that leaves me sitting. Lots of folks around here seem to be pretty happy with it.

So how do y’all feel about 1/4” spacers on top of the 5100’s and 888’s? I only got 1.5” without the spacers and want it to be a little higher.

Sagging of coil springs is not caused by a spring rate that is too low. Sagging coil springs is caused by a deficient manufacturing process. A well made coil spring shouldn't settle even when compressed to coil bound (if its design is purposely made to become coil bound). I was a big fan of old man emu products but I think their leaf springs and coils springs are now of the poorest quality. By the way, the specs advertised by Old Man Emu for their coils are not following their coils constructions themselves, so take it with a pinch of salt.

5100 are designed to use stock coil springs that are by the way a quite great quality on our Taco. There is really no reason to use anything else. The only thing you need from a coil spring is really just a spring rate, nothing else. As long as it fit in your assembly and meet the stroke you need, it is good to go. There is that misconception that using the 5100 top notch with stock coil will affect the ride quality in any ways caused by the "preload" of the spring. Spring preload is a term that should't exist. It should be only, a load. For a given coil springs you will have a given length when you put a given load on it. If your coil support 1500 pounds and measure 11.5" at stock height, it will support 1500 pounds and measure 11.5" whatever the notch on the 5100 you decided to use. If the rate is 590#/po, the coil will compress or extend of 1" if you add of remove 590# of load on it at any given notch.

    Hope it helps
