I'm lookin to clear 33's my 2015 dbl cab. Im leaning towards adjustable 5100s in front with stock springs and add a leaf in the back. Just curious on thoughts of this set up, stock springs bad route? Truck will not see much offroading. I would rather toytec kit but I'm struggling to find it for a reasonable price in Canada.

    Thanks

I don't have personal experience with this, but that is a common set up for people on here on a budget. Only thing, is that with 5100s maxed out at 2.75, some complain that the ride is too stiff while others say it's not too bad and feels like a truck. What I would do is spend the extra few hundred bucks and pair the 5100s set at 0 with a set of OME springs. Same amount of lift and it'll ride better than stock.

Ppl will have mixed opinions but most will say they like their 5100's with stock springs. What I will say is that it's not much different than adding a coil spacer into the coil over. This is because the adjustment simply compresses the stock spring like a spacer would, causing the spring to wear prematurely. You will eventually want to change out the spring so since shit has to come apart you should do it right once, get springs and install them to the 5100's. Do it right once, you have a brand new truck, don't cheap out now to regret it later. Further to that if you get them assembled from toytec it will be cheaper than paying a shop to do it. oh and you will still have to trim to properly clear 33's unless getting pizza cutters.
