Sometimes I think I should've just kept my tundra and bought a beater rig for crawling. I love that 5.7.

Sometimes you wish you would've bought a tacoma instead of that 4runner ;)

Anyone know if a 4ft fire stick cb atenna mounted on the back of a truck bed would work for a whip flag mount at the pismo dunes ? Ohv regulations states that it needs to be at least 8ft standing straight at a stop, and I measured it to be 8' 9". Could I just run a flag on it or get an actual 8ft whip on top of my bed, that putting me at 12'9".
Just trying to not get a $500 fine from a 10 dollar safty whip and flag.

shit OHV states it must be an orange flag but people run whatever flag they want! Yes you would be allowed to do that, I would just think anything attached to the antenna would interfere with the radio. I barely know squat about CB so try it out, if it still works maybe ill end up doing that for the Pismo meet on the 21st.

You know what, I look at how you and @bluedegeon rigs are set up with the camper and I think it would've been the better choice for my needs. When I was buying the 4runner I was thinking about my dogs riding in the bed, exposed to the elements. It never crossed my mind to put a camper on it :frusty:. Im still happy with the 4runner, someone has to prove that the 5th gens aren't just soccer mobiles and mall crawlers.:D

I should have mine up and running by then. My rigs at billys shop soon as it gets back ill be hooking up the antenna and I should be good to go. do you happen to have a SWR meter? or know anyone with one. I would go to red monkey to get it tuned but my box for the radio is tucked under a hard to reach spot where I have to take the shift bezel off. Plus for $20 I could just buy my own SWR meter and let all yall use it.
