This is true too, the lil axles just don't hold up well on the newer bigger yotas from what I've seen. Best to build stuff to where the weak point is an easy fix

What's a good axle ? Thinking of keeping it simple with leafs. I do have the limo so it's a bit heavier.

Yeah, might just keep the 8 lug. If I go that route. Rebuild the used axles with new guts and lockers. Try to keep it some what oem so I can just drive to the local store for parts.

I can go ask the guy at the auto parts store what I have, yeah I need a chrome molly driver side axle 8 lug for my 2008 toyota tacoma trd sport, 4.0l v6.

Well got bored and drove to work to get my weight. Wet weight @ 31 gallons of fuel, bumper, tires, wheels, lift, and the accessories in the bed, that's an additional 1100-1200lbs from stock. Not too bad.

Anybody know anyone selling a 2.7 motor? Mine took a crap on me after a mishap on seafoam treatment. I will forever hate seafoam from now on and I did hate it at first, but gave it the benefit of a doubt.

I have my motorcycle to roll with for awhile, so I'm figuring might as well find a cheap 2.7 or straight to diesel swap.

Hey 559 Tacomaworld!! I'm helping a friend spread out the word for a meet and greet that he is hosting this upcoming July 9th. Full details and descriptions of the event is down below. Hope to see you all there!!

Alright everyone, mark your calendars! The 559yotas Meet&Greet is happening on Saturday July 9th, 2016 at 4 pm!
The meet will take place at the Dinkey Creek Inn. The owners there are hosting the event for us, and we couldn't be more grateful. This will be a "tailgate" style meet so be sure to bring your chairs, grills, tables, etc.

There will also be a Free Raffle! You're not gonna want to miss out on this one!!! We have been fortunate enough to have some awesome stuff donated to this event and the list grows. Trust us, it will be worth it!

To start the day, we'll be taking a cruise to the tower. We'll be meeting on Rock Creek Rd at 8am and hitting the trail at 9am. After taking in the beautiful scenery of the Sierras, we will be heading back to the Dinkey Inn, to be there by 4pm for the official 559yotas Meet and Greet and Raffle.

There will be lodging available on a first come first serve basis. For more information or reservations please call: Tent and trailer camping available at Dinkey Creek campground, 1-877-444-6777. "Rustic camping cabins" available at Camp Fresno 559-841-2535.

Our sincere thanks goes out to all you who continue to support 559yotas. We are a community where each and every one of you helps make this possible. We're looking forward to seeing all of you on the trail, and at the meet!
