Thanks for 100% confirmation. Not internet guessing.

Might have to try these out since I have the fog light anytime mod.

Haven’t compared output levels to other pods, but they seem like a good buy for the price with good street friendly optics. And actually their wide spread beam should be much more useful than the generic spot beam.

Can you adjust them to the right level? I’ve got the amber pods in my brackets and felt like they should be angled down more but they couldn’t because they hit the brackets.

I don’t have it installed on the truck, so it is hard to say ‘the right level’. Adjustable range looks to be minor. See photo. Did your amber pods have a fog pattern? The generic pod pattern will emit more far light above the horizon than a true fog pod, which may make you feel like they need to be aimed down.

Edit: Worst case you could always notch the inside lower corner of the pod mount bracket for more clearance, as that is the limiting point.

I’ve thought a lot about pulling the brackets off and shaving some off the bottom side. The amber pods I have came from CaliRaised.

Can someone measure the U-shaped bracket that most LED pods come with? I need the outside to outside measurement of this bracket at the mounting holes:

I can get you a measurement later today. FYI though, many of these brackets are actually slightly wider than the internal mount, so the bracket needs to be ‘squeezed’ to fit the mounts of the pod.

I’m wondering if my PIAA LP270’s will fit the CaliRaised pod mounts. CaliRaised said they wouldn’t work, but didn’t give me the measurements.

Pods mount from inside the pod, looking at the fins on the back, it is the inside of the outermost fin. Those PIAAs mount on the outside of the body. They are not going to fit. If wanting to run PIAA fogs the LP530 would be much easier as they are a direct bolt on with the PIAA Tacoma fog mount kit. You could see if the PIAA Tacoma fog mount kit is compatible with the LP270.

    Doesn’t look like it though:

Well, I’m gonna try to sell the LP270’s then.

Plagued by other high priority projects. Currently need to build a switch controller to independently control 22+ lights. And I need to locate a 3rd Gen Pro with OEM LED Rigid fogs to include.

But I have tried a few just for kicks.

Yep, I have all the data and pictures and am working on putting together the writeup. Just haven't had nearly as much time as I would like to work on it. There is a ton of info to present. If you have any specific questions I'm happy to help you out, you can shoot me a PM.
