$5k worth of lift would look pretty goofy on my 5-lug, so I'd say Supercharger.

Not to say that a lift wouldn't be worthwhile, but a complete LT with glass and cages would run more than $5k.

Not reading it wrong. The TRD is a monster down low which is why I am going that route to pull the mountains. For applications such as drag racing though, the MKIII is pretty sweet. It just continues to pull the higher into the RPM range you go. The TRD kinda blows its load early.

Both kits are great & undoubtedly make this truck a blast to drive.

The nature of the Roots blower is to own the low end, midrange, and to keep up a steady curve to the top - good for extreme drag racing, tire burning, all around street use, and even towing due to its almost instant torque/boost at lower revs.

The nature of the Centrifugal blowers is known to be/and is more peaky when it comes to the power curve. Good for racing, and more highway based driving.

It's really up to you on the choice. In the end, they will also end up costing about the same if you get all of the supporting mods and proper engine management.

I had to repost this change of heart. I still love power & like Superchargers.

    Blower,
That was my 1st answer. I looked at new Tacomas today even a TX Pro. They looked so small most had floor liners no carpet until the $30k + range. I like the floor liners.
The new 2012 looked lower than the pre 2012. I drive over road crap or just on a trail don't even think about rocks or things. I forgot what it was like stock. That few inches makes a big dif. I like the 2012 I wish Toyota will make the next gen smaller and taller.
With all that said I would do the lift and tires first.

Why "If you drive it everyday, Sc it.
Could we have a little more? I don't under stand how an SC makes a dif. if I drive everyday?

    Yep...

however, you can use it on the lifted truck as well to get a few more horses.

    Ya, so what?

    17 gallons at 3.20 = $54.40
    17 gallons at 3.40 = $57.80

    17 gallons at 15mpg = 255 miles.

Worst case it's only going to cost you another $0.02/mile.
That's $400/year if you drive 20k per year (compared to the $4000 you're already spending).

I've mistakenly put premium in my 2.7. I don't let it bother me.

Because if you wheel a lot and go offroad, the lift is more beneficial, if you drive it on the street more often than not, the SC is more beneficial.

With that said, and me also having the lift, I would charge it over buying the lift.

I just don't think $4500 is worth 315hp & 335 TQ thats not a big deal on a 4x4 maybe 1/2 sec in qt.mile maybe. 0-60 a few tenths a driver or gas can do that.
If Pro Charger had something that gave 400/400 for 4-5k yes.
That's all its a nice option for the money, lift first.

Yes X Runners with 500 hp are fast. 500hp 600tq but not for 5K try 10-15k.
This was about 5k for TRD SC.
    Hell ya I'd love a $15k blower 500hp.
5k don't get fassst! It get's a litter more chirp from 2nd & some low end a gear change would do.

I almost got a 2012 Civic SI but than went for a low mile 06 LS2 GTO.
with the ATI Pro Charger maybe you can give me some info. How is the best way to get that 600hp to the pavement?
For real I have to get a lot of work done to get it to hook up. Its a twisty car with all that torque.

Ya u crazy man 7k on that and u want to lift my 4x4 with some spacers.
I could have done your taco for 2 hondo (how much do spasers cost) but I would have done what you did drop 7-12k. I would bet if you went with big power (just guessing ZO6 engine) or old school small J 327.
I was looking at a Tundra reg cab with a 5.7 & TRD blower. They run high 12's
Then just looked at price, you can still find 06 GTO's with 1-8k miles for 22-24k. It's such a deal for a LS2 400hp car.

I was just on the ARB site looking at a front locker (don't need one but WTF).
Then just went off on the air E-locker thing. After all the smoke cleared my brain. I have not had a air, from what I read it locks in when u hit the switch. The toyota takes some time. The one thing I read is if u break the air or ele. line the E-locker can work if you pull the cover & some way pop it with a screw driver.
