I am attempting to change my front disc pads and rotors. First question is where do the brake. wear indicators go on the pads. Top of the pad or bottom. I was given 4 clips with the hardware, so I'm assuming you put one on each side.
Also, after removing the slide pins , I cleaned them up and put some silicone grease on them and tried reinstalling them. they keep popping out. I know the air pressure is pushing them back out, but how do I keep them in. I thouroughly cleaned the pins, boots and the holes that the pins go into, before lightly lubing the pins and inserting. Is this normal?
Will the air eventually leak out? Also, One pin on each side has a rubber bushing . Does this go in the top or bottom hole. When I attempted to push it in, the bushing keeps sliding off the indent on the pin and slides up the pin.How do I keep it in place.? Need brakes soon. Thanks.
