Gotta run earlier than intended. Someone take my firewood so the campground doesn't resell it.

Just found this. I know exactly where it happened too. Think I saved the dash cam file so once I get to pull that I'll upload it. You should hear me say "I guess no better line than just straight" "woops"

Ugh, I've seen that before. Silly spot that most sliders fail to protect

Thanks everyone for coming out, small but fantastic group this year.

Keg wins again, but we put a definite hurting on it.

I have one extra size Medium long sleeve shirt if anyone wants it @Skierrichy

@Arcticelf Definitely thanks for keeping the tradition and setting this thing up!
Hopefully we'll be able to do it again next year, maybe promote it a bit better to attract more "enthusiasts". Kinda surprised that @Redmann didn't make it, even though his crossed taco is featured on t-shirts. :boink:
We did what we could with the keg, but I think we were slightly outnumbered...
Thanks for the keg @Fifthwind! Big thanks for great stakes @PCTaco! :hungry: And I can't remember who got the pasta salad, thanks as well!

If I forgot anyone else's contributions, sorry, my memory is not what it used to be

I had a great weekend, hope everyone else did as well.
It was good to catch up with people I haven't seen in a while, hear some interesting stories, and gather around the bonfire.
While the rain may have kept some away, it was really only around Saturday afternoon, and cleared before dinnertime, and the trails had very low traffic.
    Definitely warmer than last year.
While Whiskey Ridge was a challenge in the rain, I had a great group, and we defeated that obstacle without damage.
Optimistic that the trailhead campground will be better sorted out next year, seems to be improving in general, but needs to get the basics managed a lot better.
IMHO, those lots should have water and a 3pm check-in for the rates they ask for, and the firewood they sell should be seasoned and dried for that price, rant over.
I think I'm done camping till the spring; maybe next year I'll wire up a water tank heater to be able to camp when it drops below freezing at night.
My thanks to everyone for a great trip.

Wanted to thank your son for helping out with the items Mike and I had left in the group area, as we had completely forgotten about them.

Whiskey Ridge looks a lot less gnarly than the little blue between 46 and 17 right after we passed you guys.

Yes, there are several blues in that area that I have not yet tackled; so I will have to take your word for it. I actually haven't been on the eastern side for a few years, and the last time I ran Whiskey Ridge was East to West, so I wanted to change it up; almost like a new trail to me. Also, I do not remember how much of the group over in the northeastern end by 35 (excelsior?) that I have done, so those two areas would make for a good weekend. It was actually a little random to look up that hill and see you looking down; with so few people on the trails that day, it was like we had the park to ourselves.

I wish I could have been there. I had started this job at work and I wanted to see it through to finish. On Sunday, I was in 6am-Midnight just to see it done. The track department (in these pictures) really fucked me.

What kind of steel do they use to make the rails and why can’t Toyota make truck frames out of it?

We have various types. This was the one I was just standing next to. Our oldest is Carnegie steel. Around 1908.

I had a great time wheeling with @PedalCar @Fifthwind @rnish @Bastek. After working on the truck all summer it was great to get it out and shake it down. Thanks for the great spots. Hopefully someone got some pics. I have a few of @Fifthwind and @PedalCar. @Bastek I have a decent video of you, but no way to share it.
