5th Annual Christmas Tree Build - 2020 Edition

My parents bought their first house with dual-zone central A/C (one system downstairs and one upstairs) in 2007, and I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread (still do; We sold that house in 2016 and moved into another one with dual-zone); I kept the thermostat for the second floor set to 68 degrees constantly, and my dad got really pissed when he got the electric bill for our first full month in that house!

Bill, do you think I should put Christmas lights on the back deck? I didn’t do the door frames in the front this year so I have a few strands of lights left over!

I made these many years ago. The Grinch gets mounted on the roof; Cindy gets stuck in the ground:

 

I dragged the stuff down to the floor and let my wife have her fun.

Totally gonna do it! There’s a house with a long “stovepipe” driveway wedged behind my next door neighbor’s house, and I have a perfect view of their lights from my back deck, so I’m gonna return the favor!

 

I did the back deck (better pics to come once it gets dark)...

 

I only did the outer railing because (A) I ran out of lights, and (B) will anyone even be paying that close attention...?

 

And I set up the grazing deer too...

 

Both of these metal pumpkins are new this year, and this will likely be the only time you see my fall decorations up at the same time as my Christmas decorations; Everyone is decorating early this year to spread cheer during this damned pandemic, so I naturally jumped on the bandwagon with my both my truck and the house (normally I wait until after Thanksgiving)...
