    Ya, I'll be surprised if half show up just by seeing who's actively following this...but who knows. If 40 trucks show up I woudl guess we will have to split up into 2 or 3 groups or else we'll be sitting more than wheeling.

    Speaking of forts...

    I know it's illegal to cut down trees in a state park. So how's the timber situation where we camp?

    I'd like to set up a few tarps with poles instead of an ez-up since I'm a broke bitch. I've got the knowledge and skill to do so. Also, this reel of 550 cord isn't getting used as much as I thought (zombies haven't happened yet) and there's plenty of it!

    Hell, I'll build us a damn tower if there's enough wood!

    I've thought about this too. But if it's raining that hard that a tarp over a tent is needed, chances are it's in the floor already. I've been in that situation before, sucks.

    I more or less meant for a setup like the ez-up, but 2-fold. Good idea.

    I did this last year and I was damn glad I did too. Quick work with a shovel and you can setup drainage around your tent/tarp too.

    I think the tallest we've ever built was about 40' tall with a platform every 10'. Been since I left the Scouts 12 years ago, but knots are knots. You don't forget something you do nearly every day of your life.

    ive got an easy up that I plan on using for my cooking area, and just bought one of these to keep my fat ass off the floor...so rain all it wants, ill be dry

    I slept in my tent through a massive thunder storm one summer, rained all night. didnt start to get wet on the inside to halfway through the night. Started seeping through the roof. A tarp would have kept me dry
