So if he's got 4 hrs of work but only 3 hrs 45 mins to do it in, something has to get left out. Everett handed me a free one last year sometime so I put it on one day when I was searching for something to do. Prior to that, I had never changed any oil in any part of my truck that had water in it as well and my truck has seen a lot more headlight high water crossings then most. Even if water is intruduced, its probably not a big deal. I got stuck in a lake for 30 mins with water in my cab above my seats resulting in my trans filling up with water. I drove trails the rest of the weekend and the 180 mile trip home before finally changing it a few weeks later and my trans seems just fine.

 

I never said he was a nice guy. But yeah, he's a hustler. During the rebuild in NOLA and Houston he bought a bunch of little trucks with hot boxes on them and had a deal with some pizza stores to buy a bunch of small single topping pizzas and then had kids do the roach coach runs around the job sites.

 

Yeah I do now. But that's because the tent is made from material and all material deteriorates. It's the suns ultraviolet rays that break things down and eats away the waterproofing. But although it has recently started to grow condensation on the inside over night, it doesn't leak at all in a rain storm. I used to rock climb a lot in Arkansas up in the mountains and bought it for the small size and safety from the erratic wind storms and rain storms that would roll through. Much like Bill, I would def buy another one.

Thinking about ordering some of these Rigid Ignite lights. You mount them using GoPro's mounts so it'd be really easy and convenient to switch them back and forth between the truck and the side by side. Plus the are pushing 1K lumens out of that little sucker.

 

Hang one off your drone and have a semi-autonomous work light lol

 

hahaha this is true. It took up an Iphone very easily so it'd pull that light up no problem.

Fuck...... this trip can't get here fast enough. I'm tired of life right now and just want to get away.

 

My LBL weekend is probably one, and MAYBE two days. Sux.....But whatta ya gonna do? Boss is having surgery and has sorta put me in charge while he's away. May be headed down late Friday....Trying to negotiate a rare Sunday off, otherwise, it's back home Saturday afternoon. At least I'll be prepared. And Sandy will be along for the ride. That was up in the air at one point.

I can drive it in around 3-1/2 hours with the "drive it like you stole it" plan.

I plan on setting up camp somewhat away from the "drop zone". That way I can crash early or sleep late without too much rucus.
