    Took the kids fishing today and reminded me that I had mentioned these things to someone at LBL. Daniel and Victoria I think. Don't know screenname...

    Rod sock to keep lines from tangling when you put them in the truck. It's braided plastic fibers so hooks are easy to get out of it if you leave them on the line but I usually remove my hooks just for safety factor.
    If you ever hike out to fishing spots, these socks are nice for keeping line from getting stuck on tall weeds or tree branches too.
    I sometimes wrap a velcro cable tie to help keep it in place.
    If you ever spend a little on a nice reel, there are neoprene covers like you see 1 of in this pic to keep the reel from getting dinged.
    You can find them for about $5 at most places that sell fishing gear.
