Alright, I'm pulling more for this trip. My only concern is radio communication. I don't have anything. Any suggestions? I know I need to bring the necessities like food, beer, extra gas tank, etc. Any thing else?

I have a cb and hand held. Don't use them much. Don't be first or last truck and your fine. Might get a little WTF when every one is stopped on the radios figuring out a plan, but I wouldn't sweat the radio thing. General camping stuff, tool kit and some gas. That will be enough to have a good time.

There is more than needs attention before I go romping around and zooming past stuck pre runners.

But yes the 4x4 actuator is kind of a big deal to me.

I figured it out ages ago... having someone fix it is another thing

So basically it gets power no problem so the electrical is fine, The inside of the actuator has a metal pin slider than engages the front end.

This is gooped up with grease and over time that grease becomes less effective.

So what needs to be done is take off the part, clean all the old stuff out and replace after new grease is applied.

My dad flaked.. brother flaked and my mechanic has been over booked for a month solid it feels like.

Yeah but i live in a condo with strict HOA, I cant do squat to my truck here.

Also I have never done this type of repair so I would rather pay to have it fixed by someone who wont mess it up.
