If staying the night be sure to rinse them nuts or you will get a rash between them legs lol. Baby powder does good to help with the sticky felling .

Kind of a thread jack, kind of not. I am interested in making the trip down. Do you guys go out to PINS? I am really interested in spending three or four days out (camping) there but have never been. Do you think this trailer would make it down 20 miles or so? It does great in Galveston but there are plenty of options if I get stuck.

We set up just north of beach access #5 or #6 at South Padre Island and if you drive on the beach 20-30 min north you hit the East Cut/ Port Mansfield Jetties and on the other side is where the PINS begins. I dig your setup with the trailer and kayaks, plan on doing some shark fishing? The camping's nice for a few days, and last year someone had a pop out tent trailer out there so I'm sure yours will be fine.

Thanks Taco Chino! I like to fish anywhere but mainly do in Galveston either in West Bay or the beach front. I am ready for this warm weather to get here. Glad to hear about the pop up trailer as my tires are pretty small but I have no problem just dragging it through the rough patches. Wife to be and I plan on taking my two kids to PINS with kayaks and the generator to give it a go. I have heard of awesome trips out there.

damn why is this such a far drive from Ft. Hood? I really want to come down but 8 hours is a lot...not to mention the miles being put on her after the trip is all said and done.

8 hours does suck. But not if you split it in two. I'm sure you can stay on Ft Sam Houston for fairly cheap lol and meet up with the SA tacos in the morning. Dont worry about the miles, thats why you bought a Tacoma for :D

Joel, you're not from the valley anymore. :p

Badass man! good to hear your going to make it out. Another taco in the wolf pack!

I'm sure I didnt post this here. But InkJunky, I made some plans without your consent. A few of Austin tacos (GATORS) are going to meet us up here in SA for the ride down. I posted it on FB "Texas Tacos" group.... " after our 5:30am meet @ Academy, we should swing by the HEB parking lot (3323 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX) around 5:50am since it's right off of i37" Idk if you wanna update the itinerary Joel. Or will this request be denied? lol jp. We should have a pretty good size tacoma group heading south for the trip down. It should look rad:headbang:

Clint, you can pick which address works best for you.
