5th gear @ 65mph ok?

    Wondering if running the truck in 5th gear (6spd) for 45 min or so is ok? Buddy of mine was doin this and am wondering if it would have hurt anything.

    why would you want to do that?

    Toytec ultimate lift kit, Total Chaos UCAs, spidertrax spacers, mudflaps removed, 4wd badge where "prerunner" usually goes, wicked flow 13" muffler, sound ordnance b-8pt sub-woofer.
    I'd say it's about the same as running 6th gear at 80 or so mph for a while. Just wasted a bunch of gas.

    It's ok if you can afford the gas.

    While towing I'll run in 4th gear at 65mph for hours and will only be turning 2400 - 2800 rpm. You're fine.
