A friend of mine just bought a brand new 4 runner and imediatley upgraded the suspension and tires. I am wondering if the 4 runner suspension will work with my 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport. I wanted to just buy his tires however the 265/75/17's from the 4 Runner look like they will not have enough room with my Tacoma suspension. maybe if i use the 4 runner suspension all will work and ill gain a nice little lift?

I got 2022 TRD Tacoma shocks from a guy on here who does the swaps on brand new trucks out in CA for my 2015. From all I've read, the shocks will bolt right up. If they're the same shocks, I don't see why you couldn't swap them out. But I figured with your truck being a sport, it should have similar shocks. And If that will help with avoiding tire rub with the larger rims and tires, I don't know.

The 4 runner is the odd thing, I know on mine I installed 3rd gen Taco off road front SPRINGS and shocks and it lifted it about a little more than an inch and my 265/75's fit. Shocks alone wont do anything, its the coils that will give you the lift

The rear certainly won't as it's a coil suspension set up.

i can't imagine how it would work. As @fxntime mentioned the rear is completely different.
