I've been a lurker on this site for a while looking for taco advice. I have a question I don't think I could easily find elsewhere. I have a bone stock 1999 Tacoma with the 1st gen (gray) supercharger. I've owned it since 167,000 and just hit 242,000 miles. I am pretty new to working on vehicles, started with cv axles and ball joints, radiator, recently graduated to my timing belt.

Background aside, my injectors are dying. Cylinder 5 went out last year and today cylinder 6 went out. I want to fix it myself this time and address the low rpm/high torque ping and the high rpm starved states while I am at it. It's my daily driver, so I don't want to push it hard, just get it running right.

I have two choices in my mind:
    1. Replace injectors with MotorWest injectors now and get the URD 7th injector kit soon. This is my preference as it is less intrusive/more reversible and will cool my blower a bit.

    2. Replace injectors with URD 6 Injector Fuel/Timing Upgrade. No EGR delete needed.

The problem: The 7th injector kit says it only works on vehicles without an EGR system... Rookie question: Does mine have one?

This is what the URD Directions say for the 7th injector kit.

Looks like my supercharger has the opening there...what do we think? Thanks all!

If your injector is giving you problem, I would upgrade them to the Supra injectors and upgrade your fuel pump.
I wouldn’t waste money on URD 7th injector, spent the money on a snow performance meth kit. It’s cheaper too but you’ll have to find an way to get methanol

    Thanks for the advice 02hilux,

What part do you recommend for the Supra injectors. Is300?

    URD fuel pump still?

I just don’t want to deal with the inconvenience of methanol. I get that the latent heat of vaporization of methanol/water is crazy and you get the octane boost, but it’s my daily, not a rally truck.

In your case, I'd go with the 310cc Denso injector for a NA 2JZ part# 23250-46050, and a Deatchwerks DW200 fuel pump.
